Although it seems awfully trivial next to Afghanistan, health care, and other major issues, Obama’s support of Bloomberg – and his equally outrageous snub of Bill Thompson (after his outrageous snub of Paterson and his intrusion into the gubernatorial race) – particularly in light of how Bloomberg came to be running for a third term at all (which means Obama tacitly approves of that reprehensible and almost certainly illegal tactic), is the last straw for me as an Obama supporter: he no longer has my confidence or my vote.
