More NATO troops won’t fix Karzai II

The writer of this article, Max Hastings, is a distinguished British military historian, journalist and writer. He is not faintly left wing but a fairly trenchant and pragmatic old style country gentleman Whig with close links to the British Army. What he has to say is not encouraging for those promoting a more of the same military solution in Afghanistan.
