Democracy Now has this great interview with the group that first raised the alarm about prison abuse in Iraq .. as early as 2003 .. The Christian Peacemaker Team also works alongside the Muslim Peacemaker Teams in Iraq – here’s CPT leader Peggy Gish .. “we did a training with a group of Shia Muslims in Karbala in 2005, and they became known then as the Muslim Peacemaker Teams. With them, then we went into the city of Fallujah seven times during the year of 2005 to work for reconciliation between Sunni and Shia.
