Dismissing Eight US Attorneys

Eight attorneys may not seem like a large number – but it is almost ten per cent of the total number of US Attorneys in existence. Although the White House and Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez (previously W’s personal attorney) claim that the firings were based on poor performance, all eight had outstanding performance appraisals. Instead, it seems that one was fired to make room for a Karl Rive protege, and the rest appear to have been fired for political reasons, since they all were investigating Republican Party corruption cases….BS
