The Moment for This Messenger?

Barack Obama, who is both an African American and the biracial son of a black Kenyan father and a white American mother – has embraced what Robinson calls “both-and” thinking, in an era where politics has degenerated in “either-or” divisions and brutal inter-party conflict. Politics today seems mired in what remains of the bitter conflicts of the 1960s, while the rest of the nation has moved on.
