Openings and Closings (Libby Perjury Trial)

Closing statements will be given today in the Libby trial. Froomkin will be covering that trial, with a column due tomorrow. In the meantime, he has an edited version of the opening statements from both sides. Two very persuasive attorneys in top form address the jury and describe their strategies and charge the jury with its responsibility to examine the facts and concentrate on the question of perjury – not the justice or injustice of the US invasion of Iraq…BS
