What the CIA Leak Case is About

Byron York is the White House correspondent for the National Review. He has been in the courtroom during the proceedings of the I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby perjury trial. The central question that pops up every day is one that apparently cannot be answered: was Valerie Plame covert or classified or not at the time her identity was leaked by the Bush Administration? The presiding judge claims the question is irrelevant to deciding whether Libby perjured himself, but to York, it is a central question about the events around the leak itself, a criminal act richly deserving prosecution…BS
