Dear Family and Friends:
Please forgive the informality of e-mail, but in an effort to reach all of you before you read it in some paper or gossip magazine, we want to let everyone know that we were married today in Torino, Italy, by the Mayor of Torino and in the presence of the “Publico Italiano”. It was raining ( good luck ) and the official ceremony was conducted in a 16th Century Hall under the auspices of the Italian Government.
We want you all to know how closely we hold you in our hearts and that even though we chose to elope to Italia, we did so in a spirit of knowing how happy you are for us and how loved we feel by all of you. We look forward to celebrating in person when we are next in your neck of the woods.
