Getting out of Iraq

Another piece that compares the disastrous Iraq war to the tragic Vietnam War, but here the theme is how costly, prolonged and delicate it can be to get out of a war once one’s nation is in one. The monumental failures of the last 4 years of the war in Vietnam, a period where US troops steadily decreased in numbers, are strung together with the theme of bad or nonexistent planning. The writer predicts even worse in Iraq unless intelligent and effective planning happens now…BS
