I must say that I was impressed by Edwards in the debates, more than I have been before. He has clearly-thought-out positions on a number of issues, and is obviously not “on board” with the phony “war on terror.” He was also very impressive in the faith-based “debate” held the following evening in DC by Sojourners (a group to which I belong), at which he, Obama and Clinton were asked questions on faith-based issues – not simply “hot button” issues like abortion and homosexuality, but also war, poverty, income equality, etc.

If Edwards is able to maintain and build on his message – and the media gives him as much play as Clinton and Obaama – he may yet end up a formidable obstacle to a nomination rout by either Clinton or Obama.

    Peace.
