NYT: Case of Police Videotaping Is Back in the Public Eye

“The Police Department has no interest in people’s First Amendment activity,” she said. “When the Police Department polices public demonstrations, their concern is public disorder and public disorder alone.”

This would ring truer were it not for the recent revelation that the NYPD engaged in secret local, national and international investigations into hundreds of people and organizations prior to the RNC.
