The two types of violence

The Blacksburg mass murder and the astoundng death toll in Iraq last week point up the fact that some violence is “instrumental” – inflicted in pursuit of a clear goal – and some is not. An elegant consideration that starts with these two stories and then turns to more universal themes. Highly recommended…BS
