NYT Guest Op-Ed [Interesting Piece]: Witnesses for the Persecution

“Samaritans shouldn’t pay a price for doing their duty.”
While it is indeed possible that these imams are somehow “testing” certain aspects of airline security and trying to intimidate people who would report suspicious activity, his use of the word “duty” is chilling in and of itself, as it brings to mind an Orwellian world of constant surveillance, even by one’s fellow citizens.
