Of course, some of us (including Civic editors and guests) have been saying this for at least the last decade. No need to mince words: it was the election of a black president that added fuel to the Confederate-rebuilding fire. And now that the Second Amendment is back in the forefront after Newtown – with talk of repeal, modification, or simply stronger regs – the modern-day Confederates are really het up.
