Sadly, this is the same type of yellow journalism and fear-mongering that we see all too often these days – a repeat of the type of scapegoat propaganda used by…yup, the Nazis.
Yes, some Christians engage in violent acts specifically based on their dogmatic and doctrinaire beliefs. There is no argument there. But suggesting that simply because someone is a Christian that that is, de facto, their motivation for engaging in violent acts is absurd. It is like the teenager who happened to be wearing a Judas Priest t-shirt when he shot someone, so the media immediately jumped on “heavy metal music” as an influence in his act. So does this mean the guy who flew the plane into the IRS in Austin was a Tea Party terrorist simply because he happened to support much of the TP platform? Poppycock.
We should all be smart enough by now to be able to step back and see when the media – the corporate-controlled media – is using people’s beliefs, etc. to turn us against EACH OTHER rather than against THEM!
