El Secreto de Sus Ojos – an amazing film.
I cannot recommend this film to my MBC friends more highly, it is a once in a lifetime movie, as near faultless as any human undertaking can be. I do not know what the English title will be, perhaps “The secret of her Eyes”. It is an Argentine/Spanish co-production shot in Argentina and directed by Juan José Campanella with Ricardo Darin and Soledad Villamil in the lead. Humour, violence, excitement, romance, nostalgia and an amazing score. Get thee to a cinema as soon as it appears at one near you. I am sure that there will be a Hollywood remake before long but it will have to be very good to be as good as this.
It’s about an unfulfilled romance and a perturbing murder, covering 25 years of an assistant DA’s life in Argentina. Beautifully directed by Campanella and flawlessly acted by all the cast. Soledad Villamil, who is also a great tango singer, is stunning.
