    The article makes some interesting comparisons between the costs of various wars, showing Iraq to be far the most expensive, pro-rata.
    It does not go on to look at the loss of life and number of injured in each of these wars, and therein lies the key to this greater expenditure. Putting The Gulf War aside, this war in Iraq has far less fatalities than the others mentioned, and is being fought with far less troops. The increased cost is that of the superior technology which allows this to be the case.
