Well, I am really glad to have that perspective, as this is certainly not the way it comes across in the European Union.
The thing is 90% of the population are Albanian and want independance. 10% of the population are Serbs and want to stay attached to Serbia.
I notice on the map it shows Macedonia as ‘formerly part of Yugoslavia’. Umm, well Mr Chossudovsky it just could be that Macedonia is rather older than Yugoslavia ever was, Alexander The Great’s homeland, in fact.
In Michel Chossudovsky’s mind, as in that of Mr Milosovitch, Yugoslavia is where everything emanates from, not the stitched together quilt of a Communist Tyrant. With Tito’s death, it all fell apart, and Kosovo is just the latest attempt to construct a fabric which works for the majority and hopefully accomodates the minority.
It is this later function that will make or break the endeavour.
