One Response to “AlterNet: Is The Religious Right On Its Last Legs?”

  1. Ian Alterman said:

The author says “Mixing the dirty world of politics with religion doesn’t mean that politics gets any cleaner — it’s simply designed to give an outer sheen of public relations respectability while the corruption keeps right on chugging out of the public eye.”

This is an echo of an even more damning comment made in the NYT article by Rev. Gene Carlson, who says, “When you mix politics and religion, you get…politics.”

    Peace.
