Chicken Roulette

The Chinese pet food scandal exposed a much larger problem: malignant foods for human consumption – some of it imported legally from China. Chinese imports have also tainted U.S. chicken, pork and fish with Chinese pet food ingredients. Uninspected Chinese poultry is arriving in crates labeled “prune slices” and “vegetables,” from Chinese slaughterhouses straight out of Upton Sinclair’s 1906 novel, “The Jungle.” We need MUCH more forceful FDA oversight to combat these products of globalization from unscrupulous vendors in a country with very lax food quality regulations…BS
