On Sept. 11, 1857, Mormons slaughtered 120 California-bound settlers from Arkansas, a crime known as the Mountain Meadows Massacre. A new film, “September Dawn” examines Brigham Young’s role as a kind of 19th Century Bin Laden. The effect this has on the campaign prospects of Republican Mitt Romney is not yet known, but one thing is certain: his Mormon faith is increasingly a concern among voters, and it is an issue Romney has not yet confronted publicly…BS
