David Petraeus, soon to take over command of US forces in Iraq, wrote the recently published Army Field Manual on Counter-Insurgency (as posted here a few weeks ago). You would tink he was Moses bringthe tablets down from the mountain to listen to Administration types. Greenway, a prior war correspondent, tries to restire a sense of balance to the expectations…BS
