NYT: House Passes Security Bill; Senate Stance Is Uncertain [See my comment]

Although it would seem on its face that this type of bill would simply be a continuation of previous policies, what is remarkable about it is that it includes only “protectionist” items – e.g., cargo container inspections, preventing the spread of nuclear weapons, etc. – but nothing invasive of civil liberties or privacy.
