Excellent and insightful analysis of yesterday’s election, marking the end of the “Republican Revolution” that started with the Contract With America in 1994. Those with a more historical view would say it started in 1964 with Barry Goldwater’s presidential campaign. However you define their reign, the Right has lost decisively; Democrats delivered more completely and well than we feared; and in a ringing rejection of current policies, the American people exercised their right to “Throw the Bums Out”.
