Parag Khanna has written a very insightful article about the Kurds. They are without doubt our most serious friends in this “great game” territory. If we follow our too frequent historical pattern we will probably betray the Kurds. We will be under pressure by Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey not to give the Kurds the same support we give to Israel. All will recall the let down of the Shis’s after Bush I’s exhortations. Let us not forget BudPest and Prague. MB
