San Jose Muwekma HAiR Tribe Ready To Roll…

Its been a while so I thought I would post an announcement here. The San Jose Muwekma HAiR Tribe and Stagelight Productions present HAiR at Theatre on San Pedro Square starting July 14. Right now, any reader of this blog can get our special pre-opening discount of $5 off any adult ticket (normally $25 for Friday and Saturday evening and $20 for all other performances) by using the discount code HAIRCUT either on-line or for telephone orders (not valid the day of the performance). We want to encourage people to come see the show early in the run and help spread the word!

On July 13 and 15, Michael Butler himself will be attending the show and participating in several audience talkbacks after those how. And coming up on July 28, the entire Muwekma tribe will go the Monterey Summer of Love festival (held this year to commemorate the 40th anniversay of the famed Monterey Pops Festival) and perform on the same stage as many local tribute bands and some remarkable “vintage” bands including the Jefferson Starship, Big Brother and the Holding Company (sans Janis 🙂 and Riders on the Storm, Ray Manzarek’s post-Doors bad (sans Jim Morrison).Â

In addition to our tribe members, we will be joined by a group of HAiR alumns, including Walter Michael Harris, Jonathon Johnson (author of Good Hair Days), Debbie Andrews, Max Holly, and Aimee Tsao (from the original Belgium cast). There are a few others who have said they mght be there (they will be announced as the confirm). Â

More info is at www.stagelightproductions.org. We hope to see all of you there!
