    Okay, take a deep breath.

This is a hoax. Proven so. And I went and did a bit of extra research myself on this.

The designer of the coin, Daniel Carr, has been designing “mock” coins for many years. As well, ALL of the coins he strikes have the “D” – which Turner claims “proves” it was struck at the Denver mint – because Carr lives in…Denver. Indeed, the “Amero” coin looks EXACTLY like the coins Carr has been creating for about five years. As well, I checked his website on WHOIS and found that, contrary to Turner’s claim that it “went up in a couple of days,” Carr’s website was created in 2005; i.e., he was clearly selling mock coins (ALL of which have the “D”) for at least two years on the website. Here is a link to Carr’s site.

As for the claimed North Carolina NAU (North American Union) drivers license, there is absolutely no corroborating evidence on this claim. As well, the writer of the article, Jerome Corsi, worked with Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, and has been under investigation by Media Matters for America, a left-center media watch group co-founded by Eric Alterman (no relation), for making anti-Islam, anti-Catholic, anti-semitic and anti-homosexual comments on various forum threads.

Thus, I would not put too much stock in either of these stories – at least not yet.

    Peace.
