It’s the One Week Anniversary of Occupy Wall Street!!
The occupation survived: pouring rain, police harassment and intimidation, a media blackout, media coverage aimed to diminish the significance of the occupation, lack of supplies necessary for holding an encampment and lower turnout than hoped for on the first day. Having made it to the weekend, “reinforcements” are arriving. From Maine, Wisconsin and other areas of the United States, carpools are making their way to Wall Street. There are also no less than 27 cities attempting to organize occupation actions of their own to show solidarity with Occupy Wall Street.
