No Time to Ignore the World

Increasingly, newspapers (the well from which Internet news drinks) are downsizing and closing their foreign bureaus, further restricting the view of the world that Americans (who are traditionally xenophobic) understand. That trend is not just inappropriate, self-defeating and wrongheaded, it is nothing short of insanity – of the penny-wise, pound-foolish variety…BS
