Re the S.E.C. and Goldman, I am predicting that this is a “show trial” – a sop to those who (correctly) believe that Goldman got away with murder as Lehman and others failed or were put out of business. This will ultimately go nowhere: as other stories in the 24/7 news cycle crowd it out, people will forget about it and nothing will have happened.
