NYT: Canada’s Police Commissioner Resigns Over Deportation Case

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/07/world/americas/07canada.html?pagewanted=print

“Mr. Zaccardelli admitted that his earlier testimony…had been incorrect,” and Mr. Zaccardelli “said that ‘he had made a mistake’…”

In other words – HE LIED! Why do we always have to deal with euphemisms when the simple fact is…people LIE!

Mr. Zaccardelli is in denial about what he did/has done and/or did not do. In doing so it shames his position as Canada’s Police Commissioner. This is sadly an ego thing, not a political thing. I watched his speach today and it was all about him, that he did not lie and how he has suffered these past days. It wasn’t about making a mistake, being Human, having 1000 things on his desk.It was all about him and his office! He obviously has no sincere interest, concern, understanding/empathy as to Mr Arar’s suffering under the hands of the Syrian’s that he and his office were responsible for.
I so distest those that try to protect their legacy at the expense of others.
Zaccardelli also had the audacity to say that he wants to serve his country in a new meaningful manner.
It shocks me, that a man of that stature thinks only of himself and not of his responsibility to his/their office.

At the end of the day, a house cleaning is being done at s cost to the Canadian peoples integraty!

PS The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are a great police force, the best! They always get their man!
