NYT: Echoes of 9/11 Define Life 5 Years Later

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/08/us/08intro.html?ref=us&pagewanted=print

In this group of stories, the NYT takes a look at five issues arising out the events of September 11th: military sacrifice, civil liberties, workplace jitters, religious bias, and local response. Of these, the piece on civil liberties is probably the most critical, given how broadly – and increasingly – we are being asked to sacrifice civil liberties and freedoms for what many of us believe to be an illusory sense of “security.”

Peace.
