Kafka, Vonnegut and Heller could not have concocted a more bizarre war than this.
We are paying the insurgents to ally with us against the “real” terrorists – with no guarantee that once the “terrorists” are routed, the insurgents will not turn back on us. (Which is, of course, EXACTLY how we created the Taliban, AL Qaeda and OBL – with no little help from Obama’s chief foreign policy advisor, ZB).
And we are offering our soldiers $50,000 bonuses if they will re-up for another year since none of them are willing to do it voluntarily, having served two or three tours already.
And we pay Blackwater and other mercenary groups to “support” the troops, despite the fact that they are “in the way” as much as they are not.
So we are paying (and arming) almost everyone, and (as John Lennon might say) having oh such a lovely war.
You can’t make this s— up!
Peace.

You want US troops out of Iraq, don’t you?
Well then clever clogs, just how would you do it?
