    This is why the phrase “a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing” was invented. There is NO relation between fluoride and fluoxetine!! They are COMPLETELY different molecules. What we think of as “fluoride” (the stuff in toothpaste, for example) is NaF. Fluoxetine is C17 H18 F3. Fluoxetine is simply a “brand name” but has NOTHING to do with fluoride. Yes, Fluoxetine has fluorine (NOT fluoride) molecules within it, but, as the chemical structure above noted, it is the SMALLEST part of the molecule. The molecule is MOSTLY hydro-carbon.

    THERE IS NO FLUORIDE IN PROZAC! PERIOD!!

    I REALLY wish that people would learn REAL science so they don’t keep regurgitating and perpetuating PSEUDO-science.
