Here is my letter to the author of the piece.
    Mr. Gordon,
There is a big difference now from the Nazi and Mussolini models. There is no dictator; and the final power does not reside in the state. The state is a tool of the elites and their corporations. The state will not be regulating the economy; actually the opposite. This is not just on the federal level, but is being extended to the states, counties and cities. See Michigan and Detroit. I doubt that capitalism is actually an issue. Rather, it is greed, wealth and power—of the old fashioned kind. The GM and Chrysler bail-outs were no exercise in nationalization; rather the use of public money to make the stockholders whole—who are primarily the elites. The cover story was this is good for jobs. Notice that the government agreed to turn GM back $10 billion short. Social welfare for the 1%.
    Best,
    Pat
