The New Tirade PART 3 Selling more of Amerika
This is a country made up of people with hard jobs that they’re terrified of losing.
The roots of freedom are of little or no interest to them at the moment and this is a perfect environment for the republicans to scare the general public into the threat of losing your freedom!
Those jerks at Fox use this fear to manipulate the ‘unwashed masses’ of frightened conservative sheep.
We are a nation afraid to go out at night. We’re a society that has assigned low priority to education and has looked the other way while our public schools have been decimated.
We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, friend, I promise you, the republicans are not the least bit interested in solving it.
They’re interested in two things and two things only:
Making you afraid of it and telling you who’s to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win
elections.
And that is how to maintain power and money. Because if you were to really unwrap the conservative blanket, what you would find is an old world aristocracy selling that business to the uneducated and afraid.
What are they selling? “The payoff will come to you in heaven”, while they keep all the loot here on earth.
They don’t care about you or this country-they just want to be left unguarded to make the money they want to make, any way they want to make it, without any interference, which they call government interference of their rights! Aka; Regulation.
So while they place the smoke screen about personal right around the topics like the NRA, they proceed to rape the financial, real estate and banking industries, oil, energy, cars, big business.
You wanna be like them? You want to be in their camp? You want people to think your ‘one of the Big Business Thinking Guys? Then be a republican stooge. Be a follower. Does it make you feel better?
Part of the ongoing confusion caused and maintained by the Right is the mixing of Democracy as a form of Government and Capitalism. They have the uneducated thinking it is one and the same.
It is not. In fact, one of the prime mistakes made by the founding fathers was jot limiting the amount of money any single individual could acquire. Communism they’ll shout!!! Heresy!!! Burn’em at the stake!
But it is the truth- what is any one individual need with more than say $100million??
When you create a society, one firmly based in fear motivated spending, you create a perfect environment for the rich to become richer. You create an environment of greed and you promote that the greediest are the best. They are strong and powerful and you want to be just like them. The American Dream is a nightmare.
Look, you have this society based on money-you turn a blind eye to it, you de-regulate it under the guise of freedom, and you create an investment environment where bad mortgages are written, where houses are sold to people that have absolutely no business buying them.
Finally, what you wind up with is a financial melt down. This was no market down turn or any other fancy euphemism, this was a depression.
This was and still is millions of people out of work, under water, in a country like ours and now, because the conservatives made a total mess of the zero deficit established under Clinton, took the last 8 years and screwed up the economy of this county to a treasonable level. Halliburton, Enron, these are the Right big guys. Millions of hard working people out of work and hundreds of millions more afraid.
Look, you gather a group of middle-aged, middle-class, middle-income voters who remember with longing an easier time, and you talk to them about family and American values and personal character.
You scream about patriotism and you tell them the democrats and the poor, the elderly and the liberals are to blame for their lot in life, you go on television and you call them traders, agitators, leftists, socialists, communist and whores.
You give them the old snow job-to look elsewhere for their troubles. You call people ‘names’ and blame everyone else for their troubles. It’s Sophomoric, it’s infantile. There are two good names.
We’ve got serous problems, and we need serious people, and if you want to talk about
character, you’d better come at us with more than a burning flag and television network dedicated to lying to the American public. If you want to talk about character and American values, fine. Just tell us where and
when, and we’ll show up. This is a time for serious men, and your fifteen minutes are up.
