If mud can stick unfairly, so can oil – Clive Crook (FT)
As a foreigner I find it hard to understand the growing disapproval of Obama in the US. He is by far the best president you have had for a very long time but ufortunately for him (but very fortunately for the US) he came in at the worst possible time. Had it not been for him though I believe that things would have been infinitely worse both for the US and the rest of the world. The administration has not done such a poor job over the oil spill. Neither they, nor the navy, nor the coastguard has the skills that BP has. What are they supposed to be doing?
This article from Clive Crook (not a blind admirer of Obama) tries to set the record a bit straighter.
