There is no question how scary this is. And little question that, while the effects may be “down the road,” they are definitely going to occur if this type of historical revisionism is not challenged and/or overturned. In large part, our educational system already “dumbs down” our children to a dangerous degree: that is why our kids no longer rank at the top, globally, in almost any subject, and why, for example, only 25% of high school students in Oklahoma can name the first president of the U.S. (see http://www.ocpathink.org/publications/perspective-archives/september-2009-volume-16-number-9/?module=perspective&id=2321).
