Although I agree with him on SOME things, I am not a huge fan of Alex Jones. However, this is unquestionably the best thing I have seen from him. The subtitle is almost superfluous, as only a tiny portion has to do with Obama. And although there are some aspects of this with which I would quibble – and there are a few flat-out errors (none of them critical) – this is one of the most professional, cogent, on-target videos of this type that I have seen. It helps that almost all of the main commentators (including Webster Tarpley, who comes off superbly here) are serious, knowledgeable professionals, not just “fringe” theorists. At over 2 hours, it is long: but, hey – if you can spare two hours for some piece of Hollywood junk, one would hope you could spare two fours for something important.

didn’t mind the populist shtick but hard to watch Willie Horton-esque images of (ooohh scary!) black people and clips holding up idiots like michelle bachman and jim demint as heros of the republic

always thought that Jones and Tarpley were the slimiest figures around the 9/11 truth scene .. a couple of snake oil salesman appealing to racist whites in this vid

I think you err in broad-brushing here. I dislike Bachman and DeMint as much as anyone. But that doesn’t mean they have NOTHING to contribute to the discussion, or are wrong about EVERYTHING.

Re Jones, as noted, I don’t agree with him on everything, but I admire and respect his fearlessness and his passion – and he ALSO is not wrong about EVERYTHING.

As for Tarpley, he was indeed slimy at one time, when he was associated with LaRouche. But he severed that tie years ago, and has become far more “solid” in his thinking and presentation, and, in fact, to my mind has joined Griffin, Ruppert and only a few others as “elder statesmen” of 9/11 Truth and related economic and socio-political causes.

As for the video as a whole, methinks you might be a tad oversensitive: I am hardly a racist, yet I felt no such overtones.

Ultimately, I think your approach is at least partly (and maybe mostly) ad hominem: “slimy” and “snake oil salesmen” does not address what they are saying, and does not contribute to a discussion.

    Peace.

the only redeeming thing is this is the anti corporate message .. but pleeease .. the big villians are cap and trade?! a global warming hoax?! obama presiding at the UN is “high treason”?! and images of him with other african leaders is held up somehow as a threat to US sovereignty?!

sure .. we’re all gonna be enslaved by cap and trade – that’s what i should be worrying about now
