Bravo to the growing number of European health leaders who are not buying into the swine flu hysteria. I hope to see more of this in the coming days.
Also, re the NYT article, it notes that the leading investor in BioCryst is a venture capital firm called Kleiner Perkins. What the article does NOT reveal is that two of the principals in Kleiner Perkins are Colin Powell and…Al Gore. This means that they have a literally vested interest in the swine flu hysteria, and are making money on perpetuating it.
As a related aside, Tamiflu (still the #1 flu vaccine) is made by Roche. And in case you forgot, Roche’s former president – and still one of its biggest investors – is Donald Rumsfeld, who made millions of the “bird flu” and is now making money off the swine flu.
