    My understanding is that what is termed ‘The Deep’ part of the Oceans are virtually untouched and we have almost no idea of what is down there. (read ‘The Deep’ by Claire Nouvian. A Modern Natural History Classic, highly recommended).
    This conradicts the article’s initial suposition, but does nothing to diminish it’s main point.
    We must stop poluting the Oceans and clean up as much of that polution as we can.
