Illnesses traced to a new strain of norovirus

This winter, the East Coast and California have been hit hard by outbreaks of severe gastrointestinal illness with nausea, vomiting, fever and diarrhea. The epidemic has been particularly bad in nursing homes, hospitals and college campuses. The CDC now reports that the infectious agent is a new strain of norovirus, probably with an enhanced ability to cause disease and at oeast partial resistance to conventional disinfectants. Pass the soap please, I need to wash my hands AGAIN…BS
