The State of the President: Beleaguered

Political analyst Dan Balz on last night’s State of the Union speech. Three themes emerged: (1) ongoing terrorist threat / plea for patience in Iraq; (2) call for bipartisan collaboration; (3) multi-part domestic agenda / message: ‘I am not a lame duck’. The latter seems to be aimed at the 2008 election and a future Republican campaign platform as much as current reality…BS
