This is about much more than President Chavez’s recent landslide victory in Venezuela. It is a concise and sweeping review of the last century of Latin American politics and the changing face of US involvement there – both diplomatically and covertly.     not so bad a piece considering .. i’d take issue with one characteriziation about Mexico “rebuffing” Mexican left candidate Obrador – that’s a “Florida-style” rebuff with the guy being sworn in in the dead of night. Still for the corporate media it wasn’t such a bad effort at trying to be neutral
