He’s Only the Fifth Worst
By Michael Lind | Sunday, December 3, 2006 | The Washington Post
This Sunday’s Washington Post Outlook Magazine is dominated by a debate on George W. Bush’s place in the Hall of Bad Presidents. It is astonishing to me to see this kind of frank insult to a sitting President splashed all over the cover of a whole Sunday editorial section in a major newspaper read by Everybody In Politics. ‘Space-time limitations’ prevent me from posting the whole group of articles, so I have chosen what I think are the two best.
This is a companion piece to ‘Move Over Hoover’ by Tulane historian Douglas Brinkley, which I posted as a ‘MUST READ’ just before this. Michael Lind is another respected presidential historian, currently working as the Whitehead Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation. In this essay, Lind constructs his own list of Worst Presidents, and places The Decider fifth from The Very Bottom..BS

He gets my vote.
