Racists, self-appointed dictators and die-hard Christian Right neocon meat-axe budget slashers have been in charge of governing the District of Columbia for the last 12 years, a city in deep trouble that does not enjoy the benefits of statehood or proper representation in Congress, despite the fact that its citizens pay the same taxes as the rest of us. The whole idea of putting the federal government there in the first place was one of Thomas Jefferson’s worst ideas, but that’s another story…BS
