NYT Op-Ed (Kristof): Scandal Below the Surface

Kristof says that “the issue of the YEAR” is Iraq, and “the issue of the DECADE” may be nuclear proliferation, but that “the issue of the CENTURY” is the increasing alkalinity of the oceans as a result of carbon dioxide emissions - which is affecting the plankton (among other things), on which the entire food chain relies.
