NYT Op-Ed (Tierney): Waiting for Al Qaeda
http://select.nytimes.com/2006/09/09/opinion/09tierney.html?pagewanted=print
Mr. Tierney quotes OSU political science professor John Mueller asking why, if Al Qaeda and other terrorists are so determined to strike at America, they “have not been sniping at people in shopping centers, collapsing tunnels, poisoning the food supply, cutting electrical lines, derailing trains, blowing up oil pipelines, causing massive traffic jams, or exploiting the countless other vulnerabilities that, according to security experts, could so easily be exploited?”
His answer is that “there just aren’t as many terrorists out there with the zeal and the competence to attack the United States.”
I would suggest another possible answer: because 9/11 was a staged event; i.e., since 9/11 was never an Al Qaeda or terrorist attack to begin with, there actually have been NO terrorist attacks yet.
Peace.
