it is relevant as it is
and the direction/ mis en scene not the scipt
does need to be modernized
people are basically simple and dont read
the average person
they are not thinking about viet nam per se
true but sad and sad but true
to most people that is as distant as the civil war
not to you not to me not to the tribe
but yes empirical objective evidence shows the need for something to make a
new connection with the show
for the audience
it is not clicking the way it did for whatever societal non qualitative
reason
 a major production of hair given the world situation should be a fire ball
of a hit
but its not going like that
for whatever reason

did you see the original production amy?
