In case anyone is interested in switching to Digest mode, over the
last week or so the number and timing of mails has been as follows:

19/3/05, 03:18 - Vol 9, Issue 22 - 11 pages
19/3/05, 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 23 - 23 pages
20/3/05, 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 24 - 15 pages
21/3/05, 13:31 - Vol 9, Issue 25 - 53 pages
21/3/05, 17:34 - Vol 9, Issue 26 - 6 pages
21/3/05, 17:49 - Vol 9, Issue 27 - 6 pages
21/3/05, 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 28 - 7 pages
22/3/05, 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 29 - 28 pages
23/3/05 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 30 - 24 pages
24/3/05 17:20 - Vol 9, Issue 31 - 57 pages
24/3/04 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 32 - 17 pages
25/3/05 18:52 - Vol 9, Issue 33 - 46 pages
25/3/05 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 34 - 13 pages
26/3/05 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 35 - 80 pages
27/3/05 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 36 - 28 pages
28/3/05 19:01 - Vol 9, Issue 37 - 31 pages
28/3/05 20:00 - Vol 9, Issue 38 - 3 pages

The concept of 'pages' is more like 'screens' I think.

It's certainly more manageable than receiving individual mails,
although of course if you are desperate to bypass Digest (to see
whether anyone has replied to your mail!) you can always go direct at
any time to http://www.islandlists.com/pipermail/mb-hair/ and click
in the top row to read online. You can then ignore the mails in your
in box.

The online mode allows you to reply to the list - curiously you click
on the individual sender's name - but it does not automatically quote
from the original message so you need to cut and paste to show what
you are replying to.

This website also has archived mails gong back a few months - before
that I don't know what you would do to read earlier list postings.
Nina ?

Hope this helps

Martin
